Just days after Sachin Tendulkar made news for adopting a village in Nellore district, Megastar Chiranjeevi seems to have taken a cue.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP and Megastar Chiranjeevi has adopted Perupalam, near his native place, Mogalthur in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh under a programme launched by the Narendra Modi Government.
Under the programme, 'Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana', launched last month, MPs are encouraged to adopt villages and ensure their all-round development.
Chiranjeevi is expected to visit the village soon and chalk out a plan for its development.
