Known for his controversial comments, social activist and chairman of T-MASS (Telangana Mass and Social Sciences Organisation) Kancha Ilaiah on Friday made yet another controversial statement, describing popular Hindu Vaishnavaite seer Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji as the most dangerous person for the people of Telangana.
Reacting to the allegations made by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had turned out be the biggest danger for Telangana as he was opposing Telangana projects, Kancha Ilaiah said Chinna Jeeyar was more dangerous than Naidu.
“The seer is a hard core Andhraite. But after the formation of Telangana, he has become the de facto ruler of the state. KCR takes any decision of the government and the party only after getting the approval from Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Even when he assumed the chief minister’s chair in the Pragathi Bhavan, he made Jeeyar Swamy to sit on the chair first,” Ilaiah said.
He pointed out that even before launching the election campaign last week, the TRS chief had prostrated before Jeeyar Swamy.
“The seer has been dictating every decision to KCR, including distribution of river waters between the two Telugu states. It is because of Jeeyar’s advice, KCR has created 31 districts and allocated crores of rupees to temples across the state,” he said.
Describing Chinna Jeeyar Swamy as Telangana Yogi Adityanath, Kancha Ilaiah said if KCR becomes the chief minister again, the dominance of Andhras would only increase because of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.
He will throw the people in the ignorance by conducting yagams and pujas and will virtually dictate the government,” Ilaiah alleged.
