The YSR Congress party on Wednesday filed cheating cases against Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu across the state for not implementing the promises made by him in the TDP election manifesto.
YSR Congress party leaders filed the complaints in several police stations in all 175 Assembly constituencies under sections of cheating and criminal breach of trust and requested the police to arrest Naidu immediately.
At many places, the YSRC workers had to face protests from local Telugu Desam Party leaders who resisted filing of cases against Naidu and raised slogans against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
At Nagari police station, actress-turned-MLA R K Roja, created a hungama along with party workers, demanding that Naidu be booked and arrested under cheating case. The situation turned tense with the TDP leaders indulged in argument with the YSRC leaders. The police entered the scene and brought the situation under control.
