With TRS recording yet another big victory in elections and TDP losing its deposit again in the form of Narayankhed Assembly seat on Tuesday, IT minister K T Rama Rao asked TDP leadership to seriously consider changing TDP name to DDP in Telangana.
KTR said TDP has been losing its deposits in all the elections in Telangana State and it has become DDP (Deposit Dakkinchukoleni Party), which means a party which fails to retain deposits.
"TDP is no more TDP in Telangana. It may continue as TDP in Andhra Pradesh. But in Telangana, it should change its name to DDP as it fails to retain deposits in any elections in Telangana."
KTR congratulated Harish for orchestrating the victory of TRS in Narayankhed against all odds.
"Narayankhed is considered to be the bastion of Congress. In addition to this, there was sympathy wave for Congress candidate as he was the son of sitting MLA late Kista Reddy, who died only few months ago. However, Harish successfully steered TRS to victory with his leadership qualities," KTR remarked.
KTR said the Narayankhed results further demonstrated that there is no life or future for any other party in Telangana except TRS and the party will work with more vigour, sincerity and commitment for the development of Telangana and live up to the expectations of Telangana people.
