Right from our PM Narendra Modi to all the state chief ministers, everyone is trying real hard to attract foreign investors.
And coming to Andhra Pradesh, we don’t have to make a special mention as our CMs have always gone abroad and tried to market our state’s potential.
In fact, the Indian government too is allowing FDI in various sectors to promote foreign investments all over India.
On the other hand, our CM Chandra Babu Naidu is keen on giving contracts to foreign companies. He says that he will get the designing and execution of the new capital city by the Singapore government.
Well, while our very own multi-national companies like Tata, GMR, Reliance, L&T are procuring bulk contracts abroad, wonder why Babu is keen on giving AP contracts to international organizations?
Our media does not tire of writing about our Indian MNCs doing an awesome job on foreign shores. So, why is Babu keen on getting foreign companies to do the job by ignoring our own multi-national companies?
However, it remains to be seen if Babu will give equal preference to foreign MNCs and Indian MNCs. Already, Babu has included some of his favourite MNCs in the capital development committee. Hence it is unlikely that he will rope in foreign MNCs hurting the business interests of Indian organizations.
For now, his game plan is not clear, though Babu is quite a pro in getting his favourite companies lucrative deals.
It is a known fact that there is lot of criticism against Babu from political leaders and public regarding L&T’s role in Hi-Tex building construction and in the Reliance gas deal.
