
Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandra Babu Naidu will swear in as the first chief minister of Andhra Pradesh (after bifurcation) on June 2, 2014 from Guntur district.
Chandra Babu holds the record of longest served Chief Minister (9 years) and also the longest served opposition leader (10 year) in united Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, Chandra Babu wanted to take oath as Chief Minister in Tirupathi as he is a native of Chittor district. However, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts gave Telugu Desam Party a clear majority and they played key role in TDP's success.
As a gesture to thank the people of those districts, TDP cadre has requested Chandra Babu Naidu to take oath as Chief Minister from Guntur and he has agreed to their decision.
CBN is expected to sign on the file related to loan waiver for farmers at this ceremony.
Meanwhile, TDP Mahanadu will be held in Gandipet on May 27 and 28. It will be a celebration time for the TDP cadre as they have waited for almost 10 years, to see Chandra Babu Naidu as Chief Minister.
