The Congress MLCs and MLAs Forum for Samaikyandhra on Saturday requested that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy bring the pressure on the Centre to follow Constitutional provisions and practices and refer both the resolution and the Bill on division of the State to the State Assembly for its views.
The delegation led by Forum Convener and Primary Education Minister Dr S Sailajanath and consisting of MLCs and MLAs Paladugu Venkat Rao, Radraraju Padmaraju, K Kanna Babu, G Srinivasulu Naidu, Vijay and others called on the Chief Minister at Camp Office and submitted the memorandum asking him to tell the Centre that it should give due respect to the assembly views before going ahead with the process.
The Chief Minister assured the representatives of the Forum that all these points would be brought to the notice of the Government of India.
