CBN Stung By Internal Squabbles

The Telugu Desam party chief N Chandrababu Naidu is worried over the growing squabbles within the party over Telangana statehood issue.

The latest war of words between the Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh is causing embarrassment in party circles.

Making a personal attack, Errabelli dubbed Ramesh as ‘diseased insect’. He went one step further and asked Chandrababu Naidu to chose between the two of them.

“He (Ramesh) is the bug in the system. He is spoiling the party. Encouraging very rich people like Ramesh and elevating them to MP status is affecting party's image and electoral prospects,” the Telangana leader said.

He warned Ramesh not to continue interfering in the Telangana region. He also pointed out that Ramesh did not deserve to be an MP, as he was not even eligible to represent a ward in the local bodies.

He hurled an ultimatum to Naidu, asking him to chose between him and Ramesh, since it was becoming impossible to stay in a party that encourages people like Ramesh.

Erraballi and other Telangana leaders also seemed upset with Naidu's lack of transparency on the Telangana issue.

Further, they disagreed with the petitions of Payyavula Keshav and CM Ramesh in the apex court against the State bifurcation, in connivance with Chandrababu, who on the other hand, also gave letter of consent for separate Telangana.

Ramesh retaliated by calling Errabelli, an illiterate.

“Errabali has no basic qualification and he is unaware of the legal procedures. Separate Telangana would not be realized, even if hordes of leaders like Errabelli scream for it,” he said.
