It appears that the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu has closed the doors on his brother-in-law and senior leader Nandamuri Harikrishna and his actor-son Junior NTR.
Harikrishna, who has quit his Rajya Sabha seat in support of the united Andhra Pradesh cause, has been completely sidelined by the party.
The maverick leader feels that he had been cheated by his own party colleagues in the Parliament at the behest of Naidu.
Harikrishna was conspicuous by his absence at the party’s “Praja Garjana” in Tirupati. It is said that he was not even invited for the event.
According to TDP sources, Naidu has decided to keep both Harikrishna and Junior NTR away from the party activities.
Of late, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh has been playing active role in the party, trying to attract the youth into the party.
Though Junior NTR had, on more than one occasion, offered to do campaigning for the party and participate in its programmes, he has been totally ignored by the leadership.
In the present situation, Naidu does not want to entertain them but is keen on promoting his son as his political heir.
