The BJP seems to have made up its mind to support TDP in the ‘cash-for-vote’ scam, judging by the statement of Union Telecom Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Instead of voicing his opinion on whether it was right to bribe an MLA, the Union Minister focused instead on the tapping incident.
“Leaving aside the nature of the conversation in the tape, it is absolutely incorrect to tap the phone of a Chief Minister,” said Prasad.
He further added, “The TDP is therefore justified in voicing their dissent and an inquiry needs to be conducted over the whole issue.”
Coming from a Union Minister, this statement assumes significance in the backdrop of a certain section of Telangana BJP leaders, calling for the alliance with TDP to be called off.
