Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will be going to New Delhi on Thursday after a long gap following a call from the Congress high command.
This is going to be his first visit after he began brazenly attacking the high command against the decision to divide the State in strongest terms.
Now, everybody is curious to know whether the Chief Minister would be meeting party president Sonia Gandhi.
And if he does, what would be the outcome? Will he be shown the exit door or will he come to a compromise with her? These are the questions doing rounds in political circles.
According to speculations, Sonia might give a strong warning to the Chief Minister against opposing her decision and ask him to step down if he wished. He might get a dressing down at the Congress Coordination Committee meeting being held in New Delhi on November 8.
The issue of continuing Kiran as the Chief Minister is expected to be thoroughly deliberated at the meeting. Before that the central leaders might make a last minute effort to make the Chief Minister fall in line, sources said.
