Buzz: YSRCP 'Elders' Targeting MLA's Exit

There are 11 MLAs in YSRCP right now. Among them, the most well-known figure is Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.

Apart from him, the only other active leader is Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar, the MLA of Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district.

Chandrasekhar regularly posts on social media, often being critical of the ruling alliance government.

His videos targeting the government have gained traction within party circles. However, the Tadepalli 'elders' of YSRCP are now working towards expelling Chandrasekhar from the party.

This doesn’t come as a surprise to those familiar with the mindset of these 'elders.' They don’t want anyone gaining influence in the party; everyone is expected to follow their whims.

They don’t evaluate leaders based on their usefulness to the party—if someone gains prominence, they see it as a threat and look for ways to oust them.

From now on, targeted insults against Chandrasekhar are expected. Rumors will be spread, press meet permissions may be denied, and necessary resources may be withheld.

Slowly, an environment will be created to force him into leaving the party. In reality, he has no direct access to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, as these 'elders' act as a barrier.

Meanwhile, a rumor is circulating in political circles that these 'elders' may have struck a deal with the ruling alliance.

Allegedly, they are working in alignment with the government to avoid arrests, harassment, and political targeting.

Containing Chandrasekhar of Yerragondapalem might be a task assigned to them by the TDP, according to the rumor mills.

However, history shows that even during YSRCP’s rule, these 'elders' did not spare capable leaders. They consistently built barriers between influential leaders and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, ensuring their own control over the party.
