Not many people have heard Nara Brahmani, daughter-in-law of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and wife of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, speaking at any meeting or even to the media.
Though there were reports about her business acumen, there was no occasion to judge the same. But the way she handled the entire process of Future Group buying majority stake in Heritage Fresh retail business has revealed how sharp she is in business dealings.
Sources say she had done the best bargain in the deal that fetched huge profit to the Heritage Group.
And after the deal is closed, she had a hearty talk with the media on the entire exercise and she handled the media with ease.
Though her father-in-law doesn’t like to speak to Sakshi group headed by rival YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Brahmani gave an exclusive interview to the channel and without fumbling, she gave very minute detail about the whole deal with Future Group.
When Sakshi correspondent tried to embarrass her by asking what the fate of the employees of Heritage Fresh would be since Future Group is known for sacking staff in the name of cost-cutting, Brahmani answered with smile and style saying the retaining of all the employees without retrenching a single person was part of the deal.
Of course, politics is a different ball game, but Brahmani looks very much polished compared to hubby and father-in-law. May be she can bring freshness into the TDP, if given a chance!
