Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday sought to take credit for the all-party meeting proposed to be conducted by Union Home Ministry on the Telangana bifurcation issue shortly.
Botsa told media that he had asked the Centre in the past to convene an all-party meeting on the State division issue.
“The Centre has now conceded my request and is conducting all party meeting, where the true colors of various political parties will be exposed,” he said and thanked the Centre for convening the meeting.
Botsa opined that cordial situation would prevail after the all-party meeting convened by the Centre.
“As a Seemandhra leader and PCC Chief he is expecting something good from the all-party meeting. Except CPM, all political parties had informed the Centre in favour of division of the State,” he said.
He reminded that the TDP had stated in the all-party meetings convened by the Centre earlier that it should divide the State, while the YSR Congress party had left it to the Centre to take a decision.
He urged all political parties to stop politicking and cooperate with the Centre in solving the issue of division of the state.
