Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Sathyanarayana had a tiff with senior Congress leader and former minister J C Diwakar Reddy over the latter’s remark that Congress president Sonia Gandhi had a match fixing with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
On Monday, Diwakar Reddy telephoned to Botsa and asked about the flood situation in Vizianagaram district.
On this occasion, the PCC president asked JC as to why the latter had made match-fixing remarks against Sonia.
Expressing unhappiness over JC’s remarks, Botsa said JC could leave the party if he wanted to, but should refrain from making allegations against Sonia in an insulting manner.
Strongly reacting to Botsa’s remarks, JC made it clear that he had grown up in the Congress party and would continue in the party only. He said he had only expressed the public opinion on Jagan’s meeting.
He further asked Botsa whether match-fixing with Jagan was not correct. He also said that he would continue in the party even if it is rotten and stinking.
