Botsa engineering revolt against CM?

Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana appears to be engineering a revolt in the Seemandhra Congress leaders against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has been openly castigating the Congress high command for taking a decision to divide Andhra Pradesh to form Telangana.

On Wednesday, Botsa loyalist and rural development minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad accused the Chief Minister of defying the high command only to boost up his own image among the Seemandhra people.

“Kiran is surrounded by a coterie of sycophants, who are praising him. That is why he is talking against high command,” he said.

Dokka said the Chief Minister should abide by the decision of the party high command and he could have always brought the issues concerning Seemandhra people to the notice of the high command.

“He sacked D L Ravindra Reddy and P Shanker Rao from the Cabinet for defying his decisions. Then, why is he defying the high command decision now?” the minister asked.

Within an hour of Dokka addressing the press conference, Botsa came to his defence, saying there was nothing wrong in the minister’s arguments.

“The high command is supreme. Every Congress leader should abide by it,” he said.
