The politics have become such where one cannot predict what the parties are up to.
If one of their members land themselves in a controversy, that will impact the political party too.
Unfortunately, they create a huge ruckus when unruly incidents happen involving other party members, forgetting that it could happen to their own members too.
Right now, the TDP is facing such a situation.
A while ago, TDP had spread the word that YSRCP leader was involved in the robbing of an ATM and murder in Rajamundry.
But immediately after that TDP’s Zaheerabad MLA got arrested after being accused in the murder case of his brother.
Even as TDP head Chandra Babu Naidu was criticizing the Congress and YSRCP that there were smugglers of red sandalwood amongst them, it came out that a TDP member Rayala Raja Rao was involved in a scam involving Rs 100 crore.
After floating a company called Bommarillu, Raja Rao collected deposits from people and has been absconding ever since.
There was talk that he would be contesting from Chintalapudi in West Godavari district.
In fact, it was more or less confirmed and it was said that he was bearing the charges of the party’s expenditure in Chintalapudi.
Now, the news is that Bommarillu Real Estate Company has been shut down and that its owner Raja Rao is missing.
The TDP members in Chitalapudi are now in a fix. Where they were pointing fingers at other parties, the TDP members are concerned that there are cheats in their own party.
They say that he will not be given the ticket now.
That apart, they are now worried that other parties will raise fingers at them saying that the money Raja Rao had spent in Chintalapudi was earned through illegal means.
The reality is that all parties have such members. But one has to realize that before calling names and accusing other parties of entertaining cheaters.
However, all parties will have to face such a predicament if they allow cheaters and corrupt people to be a part of their party based on their spending power!
