The fundamental sutra followed by the Bollywood folks is publicity for a film no matter which form it comes. Generally it has to do with either negative or sensational material. And the common point for that is a hot affair between the lead pair off the screen.
The industry has seen many such examples but here are few based on which you can decide whether it is for love or marketing.
Hrithik-Barbara
When the duo was shooting for their film ‘Kites’ thanks to their onscreen passionate scenes, buzz was that it passed offscreen too. Many said the relationship got so serious that Hrithik’s wife Suzanne walked out of the house. Well, even till date, it is not known whether it was for real or not.
Ranveer- Deepika
Perhaps the most demonstrative romance at all times, Ranveer’s over enthusiasm got the better of Deepika and just before the release of their film ‘Ram-Leela’ gossips burnt about the chemistry between both. Now that the film has released and became a smash hit, we have to see if the same kissing and hugging continues.
SRK-Priyanka
Both stars were paired up for ‘Don 2’ and at that time reports came of SRK visiting PC’s home at 3 am in the morning. This affair shook up Bollywood so much that even star wives began boycotting Priyanka. Today, news still comes on how both avoid each other in gatherings. But whether all this is preplanned or for real nobody knows.

When they were shooting for ‘Kismet Konnection’ there was a strong grapevine about the duo getting cosy and intimate. Of course, the film and the gossip fizzled out as soon as the box office result came out. So, was there love in it or was it just marketing.
Imran Khan-Genelia
This was a little bizarre but when Imran and Genelia were working for ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ their onscreen chemistry triggered a talk about both having an affair. Ironically, Imran was seeing his now wife Avantika and Genny was in a relationship with Riteish Deshmukh. What’s your take on this folks.
