With heavy rains lashing the state, it would be an ideal opportunity for rain dance.
But the Saffron party is against such ‘immoral’ acts and they would refrain from being associated with any such thing.
So the party has instead organized a whirlwind tour of its leaders in the rain-affected districts.
The team which has come down from Delhi comprises Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kalyanbhai Kundariya and Telangana Minister Bandaru Dattatreya. Usually this is no big deal in itself.
But neither the Telangana CM KCR nor his ministers have announced touring the state to assess the damage and loss of lives.
However, KCR did announce Rs 5 lakh compensation for those who died due to heavy rains.
Given this background, it is being said that the BJP has an ulterior motive behind organizing this tour and it is said that it expects to gain political mileage from the visit.
Yet, given the situation, BJP’s latest tactic has left many surprised and amused.
