When the TDP under the stewardship of Nara Lokesh embarked on a 'party membership drive' across AP and Telangana, many people were puzzled by the timing of the event.
Opinions floated around that since the elections had just concluded, the TDP should give itself some breathing space. However, the BJP has realized only now the foresight and mastermind of Chandrababu Naidu.
The only void in AP from which new members could be recruited was from the Congress Party and by jumping in first; the TDP has reaped maximum benefit in AP and even Telangana.
So, when Amit Shah came to Telangana and AP to boost the numbers for his own Party, he found that the majority of the prospects had been gleaned away by the TDP!
And what’s more, Naidu through Modi could see to it that Bothsa Satyanarayana and Kiran Kumar Reddy were not invited into the BJP. And Naidu did this without straining his alliance with the BJP!
No wonder, Amit Shah was so pissed off that he refused to meet Naidu during his visit even though the latter extended an invitation to him. But Amit Shah and Modi would be better off by not underestimating the brain of Naidu!
This is the guy who wrote a letter to the Congress in support of Telangana and still managed to get elected as the CM of the Seemandhra people.
