![BJP To Say Bye-Bye To TDP In Telangana?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
With the Telugu Desam Party receiving a series of jolts in the electoral battles in Telangana and many of its MLAs and leaders defecting to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Bharatiya Janata Party is coming under severe pressure to cut-off its alliance with the TDP, at least in Telangana region.
At the Telangana BJP core committee meeting held at Hyderabad on Thursday, many party leaders were of the view that the BJP would be able to pick up and retain its identity only if it comes out of the TDP clutches.
“Otherwise, we, too, would lose deposits along with the TDP in all the elections in future. The TDP is getting disintegrated in the Telangana and there is no point in clinging to it in the name of coalition,” a senior BJP leader said.
If the talk in the party is to be believed, the BJP might not forge alliance with the TDP in the forthcoming elections to Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations, besides Siddipet and Achampet municipalities.
BJP MLC N Ramachandra Rao said the party is planning to go it alone in the forthcoming elections in Telangana.
He added that they would discuss on this matter with the local leaders of these constituencies and take a decision on it.
