BJP Rules Out Pact With 'Corrupt' Jagan

Success in four States seems to have gone to the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a bid to attract new allies towards the NDA fold, the party is planning to have tie-up with Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the Telangana region and Telugu Desam Party in Seemandhra in the next elections, ignoring the more powerful YSR Congress party.

And in an attempt to defend its move, the BJP is now playing the corruption card to malign the image of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

State BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Friday made it clear that his party would not have any tie-up with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is the main accused in the disproportionate assets case.

Kishan Reddy said there was no chance of his party having an electoral alliance with a corrupt Jaganmohan Reddy.

The BJP leader said there would be clarity on electoral alliances after completion of Telangana formation. But he did not rule out possibility of having an alliance with TRS in Telangana and the TDP in Seemandhra.
