A delegation of Telangana Political JAC leaders on Thursday called on BJP Parliamentary Party leader Sushma Swaraj at her residence in New Delhi and pleaded with her to ensure that the much-awaited Telangana Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha.
Speaking to the media later, TPJAC leader Prof M Kodandaram said the BJP floor leader in the Lok Sabha categorically assured them that her party would extend support to 10-districts Telangana only.
Kodandaram said they wanted Telangana State carved out before 2014 Lok Sabha elections under any circumstances.
He also demanded that the UPA government withdraw proposal of Rayala Telangana.
Appealing to the Congress leaders of Telangana region to pressurize the Centre to implement the CWC decision on Telangana in letter and spirit, the TPJAC leader hastened to add that they would not trust anybody till the Telangana Bill was passed in Parliament. He said TJAC is cautious about T-bill.
“We will not believe Congress till the President appended his signatature on the bill after Parliament gave its consent for formation of Telangana.
