For a State facing a revenue deficit of nearly Rs 17000 crore and not in a position to even pay the salaries of its employees, the Centre has announced a special incentives package and announced the first tranche of Rs 850 crore approximately.
The sanctioned amount is nothing short of a joke and the people of Andhra Pradesh have once again been made fools of!
Naturally, the opposition is voicing its criticism over the denial of the special status to AP.
Congressman C Ramachandraiah; leader of the opposition in the legislative council came down heavily on the NDA for violating its promises. But then he had the media personnel in splits when he claimed that the BJP released the Rs 850 crore only under pressure from the Congress.
Incidentally, Ramachandraiah was made a Minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet. Yet the latter spoke out openly against Kiran and supported Chiranjeevi for the post of CM. That should answer all your questions!
