Purandeswari seems to have won the battle over arch rival T Subbirami Reddy in the race for contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Vizag.
With TSR being nominated to the Rajya Sabha, the decks are now clear for Purandeswari to contest from Vizag again.
This way, the Congress High Command seems to have kept both its loyalists happy.
But as for the people of Vizag, it’s nothing less of an option between the devil and the deep sea.
Neither Purandeswari nor TSR have done anything worth mentioning for the development of Vizag city.
On top of it, Purandeswari shamelessly supports the bifurcation of the state, promising great development to Seemandhra region.
The people of Vizag have one small question to ask of her. There is a flyover project from Asilimetta Junction in Vizag which was started ages ago and which is still not completed.
What did either of the leaders do about it? They cannot construct one single flyover and yet keep making statements that Vizag would become the next Singapore and other such nonsense.
As for TSR, apart from the Sivarathri dramas he enacts on the beach road every year, there is precious little he has done for the people.
Vizag definitely would become the next Singapore only if these kinds of leaders are kept out of office.
