![Behind The Scene: Why Would He Come?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
It's been two years since the formation of Telangana and two years since Narendra Modi became PM. But he hasn't visited Telangana even once in these two years.
“It is interesting to note that Modi has visited all places from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. He has travelled across the country covering nearly the entire length and breadth of the country. The only state he has not visited is Telangana. We want to know why," said TRS LS member Bura Narasaiah Goud.
In fact, the PM's apparent reluctance to make it to Telangana had become a poll plank in the GHMC elections earlier this year with the TRS raising questions about the Centre's indifference about fulfilling the needs of the newly-formed state.
"Modi is the PM for the entire country and there is no question of him neglecting Telangana. While he will definitely visit Telangana, the state government has to adopt a proper approach and extend a formal invitation to the PM," said Telangana BJP president K Laxman.
What the TRS says is correct. If the PM visits Telangana, it would definitely improve their relations with the Centre. But how can the Telanganites expect Modi to forget the insults meted out to Modi by KCR?
During the election campaigns, knowing fully well that Modi was a Prime Ministerial candidate, KCR referred to him as 'Sannasi' (Useless fellow). Has he ever had the dignity to apologise for his remarks?
Their CM is one of the most foul-mouthed ones in the country using deplorable language against even the PM and then the Telanganites wonder why Modi isn't visiting them.
