Sensing a 'protocol violation' issue may arise, Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah on Saturday cancelled his program to unveil a Gandhi statue at Chilakaluripeta in Guntur district.
Rosaiah was scheduled to visit Chilkaluripet to unveil the Gandhi statue. The programme was organized by a local businessman.
The reason behind the cancellation of the Tamil Nadu Governor’s program was a “full size photo of Rosaiah” along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, whose photos were shown below his feet. The local BJP leaders reported to have raised an objection on the photo.
Sensing protocol trouble, Rosaiah reported to have cancelled his trip to Chilakaluripet. The program was finalized eight months ago for which Tamil Nadu Governor had given his consent to unveil Gandhi statue. Another problem was that the businessman, who was known to Rosaiah, recently joined the TDP.
