A lot of drama was witnessed prior to and after the arrest of YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy. YSRCP activists in major towns of Rayalaseema were taken into preventive custody and a large posse of policemen was stationed at various places.
Now Mithun Reddy is an MP from Rajampet constituency. It is indeed surprising to see the lengths that Chandrababu Naidu went to, to have him arrested.
Definitely, if Mithun Reddy assaulted the ‘Air India’ official, he must be taken into custody. No second thoughts on that!
But why didn’t Naidu consider mediating a truce between Mithun Reddy and the ‘Air India’ official? Or, is that a privilege reserved only for the ruling party MLA’s?
Even an MLA in TDP goes unpunished, but none including an MP in the YSRCP are spared.
None from his party have been booked under Nirbhaya Act and all of them have got bail on the ‘call money’ scam but Congressman Malladi Vishnu is being hounded by the authorities. Justice should be dispensed in a fair manner irrespective of affiliations.
Chandrababu Naidu is charting dangerous waters.
