New Delhi: Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has taken it upon himself to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dictat on keeping government offices neat and clean.
Naidu arrived unannounced at Nirman Bhawan at 9.00 am to inspect rooms and corridors. He went to the toilets and made a round of the staff canteen. He checked the dangling cables and electrical fittings.
The minister noticed that many officers had not reported for work at the scheduled time and asked officials to be punctual. He left after expressing displeasure about the state of the canteen.
