After taking a break from films, Chiranjeevi entered politics. But not many seem to remember this as Chiranjeevi the politician is hardly in news these days.
With the talk of his 150th film making rounds, just about everyone has almost forgotten Chiranjeevi the politician. Well, Chiranjeevi seems to have realized the fact himself and has finally made a statement regarding the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.
According to him, the AP government must not go ahead with capital construction by sidetracking the guidelines suggested by the Sivaramakrishnan committee.
Well, the capital announcement had been quite some time back. At that time, the Congress leaders did not bother to come out and make any statements.
When land pooling scheme was announced and the farmers were petrified, they barely opened their mouths. In fact, after a lot of delay, Pawan Kalyan made a whirlwind tour of the region, but the Congress leaders kept mum.
Now, after the land pooling acquisitions have been done, they have finally found their voice and have decided to make some noise.
And just to be part of the pack, Chiranjeevi did his bit by making the statement which is probably the blandest statement that an opposition leader can make at this point in time.
Also, if Chiranjeevi and other Congress leaders really want to fight for the cause of the farmers, then why can’t they join the fight taken up by the Bhogapuram farmers? Surprisingly, they don’t seem to be bothered. Or will they make courtesy statements after the entire process is over?
