Chandrababu Naidu is apparently the backup candidate of the NDA for the Prime Minister’s post should the coalition come to power.
The news which was carried by a leading daily puts Naidu back in the reckoning for the coveted position.
Naidu is acceptable to a majority of the partners for he has no communal baggage behind him as opposed to Modi.
It also explains the reason why the UPA is in such a hurry to get the T-Bill passed for Naidu at the helm of affairs at the Centre would definitely scuttle the chances for a separate state.
With this revelation, political equations are all set to be redefined once again and the outcome is anybody’s guess.
