The Congress in the immediate future cannot harbour any thoughts of coming to power in Andhra Pradesh.
And the BJP knows that coming to power in Andhra Pradesh is also very difficult although the Party can benefit immensely in terms of greater representation in the Assembly.
Therefore, both the TDP and YSRCP are out to woo the BJP which is in an impregnable position at the Centre. But the situation in Telangana is completely different.
The ruling TRS finds itself under attack from both the Congress and BJP. Both the Congress and BJP sense an opportunity to form the government in Telangana, Congress because it gave Telangana and BJP because of the large Muslim population in the State.
Therefore, it is not surprising to see Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi criticize the TRS during their visits to the State.
And it is significant to note that Amit Shah attacked the TRS despite KCR trying to be on friendly terms with the saffron brigade.
The message is loud and clear: Both the BJP and Congress are setting their sights on forming the government here and thanks to their belligerence; KCR has been forced to end up as an enemy of both the national parties.
Modi and Amit Shah do not have a favorable opinion of KCR ever since the latter referred to Modi as a ‘Sannasi’.
And Sonia Gandhi is livid at the fact that KCR went back on his word of merging the TRS with the Congress if Telangana became a reality.
One thing is clear: whether it be the BJP or Congress at the Centre, neither of them is going to be favorable disposed towards KCR.
