Do what the Romans do while in Rome, they say. I fit myself according to where I am says Roja.
When she is in Assembly, Roja has it in her to take on Chandra Babu Naidu. And when she is judging Jabardasth, she thoroughly enjoys the show.
“In films, we do a variety of characters. But once we go home, we become normal people. When I am in the Assembly, I maintain the decorum expected from a MLA. Even when I am doing the TV show, I try to entertain the audience and when I fight for public issues, I do it for people. About 80 per cent of people like me, but I am aware that the other 20 per cent cannot stand me. As a person, I am very jovial. But I won’t think twice if I have to slipper someone for crossing limits. I do have very high levels of tolerance. But when someone tries to take advantage of your niceness, then it’s important to retaliate,” says Roja, who believes it is all about striking the right balance.
