Senior actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who had been facing headaches in his assembly constituency Hindupur till recently due to highhanded behaviour of his political personal assistant Sekhar Naidu, has got a replacement.
According to sources, Balakrishna has appointed Krishnamurthy, who is a committed and loyal TDP worker presently operating from NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Hailing from Kadapa, Krishmurthy got a very good name in party activities in Kadapa district and when C Ramachandraiah was Rajya Sabha member, he worked with the latter. Because of his loyal and efficient functioning, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu brought him to the state headquarters.
Interestingly, Krishnamurthy was also a great fan and follower of Balakrishna. And the Hindupur MLA had attended Krishnamurthy’s daughter marriage almost a decade ago.
After sacking Sekhar, who was behaving like an extra constitutional authority, Balakrishna remembered Krishnamurthy and called him to appoint him as his PA in-charge of HIndupur.
It is learnt Krishmurthy would take charge of the constituency affairs on Wednesday. Hope his arrival will draw curtains over the allegations of corruption in the Hindpur TDP.
