Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has come out with a master stroke when he announced that he would visit Pawan Kalyan and explain the situation to him personally over the land acquisition issue.
If Chandrababu himself goes to the house of PK, there can be no bigger honor for PK as that would indicate acknowledgement of the latter’s influence among the public.
After the CM himself has visited him and bothered to give an explanation, it would seem rude on PK’s part to persist with his opposition to land acquisition.
But if PK still persists with his demands after Naidu’s visit, then it is nothing short of an open rebellion against the TDP which came to power thanks to Pawan’s appeal to the Kapu vote bank.
So, either way, Naidu with one smart move has put PK in a do-or-die situation. Following Naidu’s visit, if PK goes silent then the entire State will once again call him a paid artiste on the political scene.
If he stands for the farmers, then it is open war with the TDP, also something which he cannot afford. It’s the devil and the deep sea for Pawan thanks to Naidu’s political acumen.
