Senior IAS officers in Andhra Pradesh government are angry at their own boss N Chandrababu Naidu these days.
Though these babus are not coming out in open on their resentment, they are vehemently criticising Naidu in their inner meetings.
IAS officers are feeling humiliated and insulted by Naidu and whenever both IAS officers meet, their discussion is revolving around Naidu and his high-handedness.
What angered babus the most is that recently he ordered all IAS officers working from AP Secretariat, Hyderabad, to visit Vijayawada and convey him New Year wishes.
This shocked IAS officers when they received messages from the Chief Minister's Office asking them to come all the way to Vijayawada only to handover a bouquet to CM and wish him a happy new year.
IAS officers were asked not to take flight to Vijayawada and instead asked to come by road. The CMO had arranged Garuda bus for the purpose. However, IAS officers almost openly revolted against CM and took flights. Those who feared Naidu opted for Garuda bus.
However, there were only six IAS officers in the bus, who were considered to the 'chamchas' of Naidu.
Naidu had recently directed all IAS officers to come to Vijayawada only by bus and not take flights. However, IAS officers are facing severe time constraints on account of this.
Most of the time is going to make to and fro journey for Vijayawada leading to pendency in works and files.
Ignoring this, Naidu again scolding the officers for pendency and delay in works. The resentment among IAS officers is growing day by day and if Naidu fails to address this, it may explode like a volcano soon.
