Chandra Babu Naidu has been voted Andhra Pradesh CM and it is nearly a year now. But according to gossip in political circles, apparently, Babu is feeling out of place operating from Hyderabad, where he has virtually no powers.
It is said that he had confided that he was feeling as if he was administrating from abroad. He has also expressed these feelings openly recently.
In fact, during one of his visits to Vijayawada, he says huge banners were put up to welcome him. Now, being the CM of AP, he is pretty amused that his people saw the need to put up banners when their CM came to do his job.
It is said that Babu is now keen on moving to temporary capital at the earliest. However, he has a problem in employee unions who insist that they cannot shift base till basic amenities are provided to them.
Babu even went to the extent of suggesting that they must first build a small assembly and shift immediately.
Well, this means constructing another temporary structure and more wastage of public funds. Instead, it is better he finds ways to cut down on costs especially at a time when resources are limited.
