What does Chandrababu Naidu do when he is on the back foot? He goes abroad hoping that the period of absence would help cool things down.
Since coming to power, whenever he has been in trouble either over acquisition of land for new capital, failure of loan waiver, the shameful call money scam or cash-for-vote scandal, Chandrababu Naidu has jettisoned abroad in the name of development and finding investments.
Now with the Centre having declared that AP will not get Special Status, and the Opposition putting immense pressure on the TDP, Naidu has decided to stick to his formula of running away abroad. Only, this time, he is calling it a vacation and joining his family that is already in Thailand.
From there, they will go to an undisclosed location. He is probably the only CM in the country who is taking a vacation when the State is reeling under drought. That’s Naidu for you.
