At last, KCR to expand cabinet on Dec 16

After keeping several of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislators on tenterhooks, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has finally decided to expand his Cabinet on December 16.

The Chief Minister called on Governor ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and conveyed the proposal to expand his cabinet.

He is understood to have sought Governor’s permission and the latter readily gave nod for the expansion of the cabinet, it is learnt.

Sources said the Chief Minister asked his close associates and leaders of Telangana movement to stay put in Hyderabad on that day as there may be a chance in the cabinet expansion.

Besides, the CM’s close aides, who joined the TRS recently, are ought to get a berth in the cabinet, include Jupally Krishna Rao, Redya Naik and Tummala Nageswara Rao.

There are other hopefuls of cabinet induction are: T Srinivas Yadav, Lakshma Reddy, and Konda Surekha.

In a bid to appease other MLAs, KCR is expected to offer them nominated posts in various corporations and other government bodies.
