Hyderabad: A leading TDP leader close to both Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh is believed to have remarked that the TDP candidates need not exert themselves in trying to win the GHMC polls.
This has created a flutter in party circles as regards the seriousness of the TDP in the GHMC polls.
Even Chandrababu Naidu seems to have given up on Hyderabad after the ‘Revanth Reddy’ episode and was only present in Hyderabad for a single day of campaigning where he abstained from criticizing the TRS completely.
The TRS is also exuding unprecedented confidence about winning the polls and the Mayor’s post and KTR has openly declared that they would win a100 seats with BJP emerging as the second largest party.
All this does give rise to the suspicion that the TDP is only putting up a token fight in the polls.
