Recently, a Telangana Global Convention was organized by an overseas body called Telangana Development Forum on a grand scale in the US. It coincided with the second formation day celebrations of that State and attracted the who’s who of Telangana.
A significant aspect of this Telanganite convention was that money was pooled at the event for the families of farmers who had committed suicide. That is indeed a very noble gesture! But what followed was really irritating.
The Forum said that the plight of the farmers was due to the policies of the Andhra administrations. Despite being in the US, one can see that the Telanganites are as prone to propaganda as their brethren back home.
The spate of farmer suicides in Telangana is at an all-time high since the TRS government took over. Hardly a single day has gone by where news of a farmer’s suicide hasn’t been reported. And living in the US, these Telanganites blindly talk like politicians without checking facts.
Has Kodandaram himself not questioned the TRS government on their inaction over the farmers’ suicides and filed a petition in the High Court? Yet, these Telanganites keep on crying at the Andhras when the fault actually lies with them.
