Union Minister Sujana Choudhary made a rather predictable statement saying that Chief Minsiter Chandra Babu Naidu is the best thing to have happened to Andhra Pradesh, especially at a time when united Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated and when the ruling party has to build a state of the art, world-class capital for the newly carved state.
Reacting to comments about Babu splurging money, Choudhary said that Chandra Babu was going ahead with all the plans and schemes as mentioned in the election manifesto of TDP prior to the elections. Also, he has been consistently increasing the revenue being generated within the state, said Choudhary.
In the wake of killing of red sandalwood smugglers, Choudhary said that Babu made it his mission to stop smuggling and adding the money to the state exchequer. The Centre was also supporting the state in its endeavours he added.
Choudhary suggested that those belonging to SC and ST communities should make use of the various schemes launched for their benefit and be a part of the development strategy.
Though the stipulated timeframe for developing the state was four years, TDP was confident of reaching their target within two years, said Choudhary.
Minister Ravela Kishore Babu also spoke on the occasion.
