Anti-social elements are penetrating in the ongoing agitation by Seemandhra people, which has resulted in the two-month long agitation taking a violent turn.
This was the opinion expressed by Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. He told the APNGOs leaders that it would be difficult to resolve the issue if the agitation took a violent turn and the Centre would have an excuse to crush it with iron hand, rather than addressing the real issue.
The ministers, who heads the the Cabinet Sub-Committee, asked the Electricity employees to protect the people from power crisis. He said he had also asked the APSRTC employees to withdraw the strike keeping in view the festivals. He made it clear that they would go along with the ideas of Chief Minister.
Another minister of the sub-committee D Sridhar Babu urged the employees to maintain restraint keeping AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi’s decision to carve out separate Telangana state. He said the decision on separate Telangana was taken only after several movements and not in hurry. He explained that the Union Cabinet has taken a decision to bifurcate the State only after all political parties gave consent.
