Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav on Monday claimed that his son Arvind did not assault anyone.
Speaking to media persons after participating in the Holi celebrations at Indira Park here, Anjan Kumar Yadav strongly reacted to the booking of a case by Hussaini Alam police against his son for allegedly beating up a constable on Sunday night near Golla Khidi.
He admitted that Arvind was present, but he neither caused traffic jam by lighting a bonfire on the road nor he assaulted anyone.
Defending his son, Anjan Kumar Yadav said that a large number of people participated in the Holi revelry which might have led to the traffic jam and later, a rift did take place.
It may be mentioned that the Hussaini Alam booked a case against Arvind Yadav allegedly beat up a constable Vamshi when he objected to burning of bonfire on road which led to traffic jam.
Vamshi was later admitted to a hospital for treatment and police registered a case under Sections 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from discharging his duty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. Arvind is said to be absconding.
