At a time when the Seemandhra people are struggling to prevent bifurcation of the State, two ministers from the region are fighting with each other on the one day cricket match to be played at Visakhapatnam on November 24.
Minister for Ports Ganta Srinivas Rao and Minister for Tribal Welfare P Balaraju entered into a slugfest over holding the cricket match in Visakhapatnam. While Ganta threatened to protest against the match, Balaraju openly supported the cricket match between India and West Indies.
Balraju said it was not good to protest the second one day cricket match as it would bring bad name to Visakhapatnam city. He said the government would provide security to the match. If somebody tried to hamper the match, it was not proper, the minister said.
Srinivas Rao said they would obstruct the match as it was being organized when Seemandhra agitation was going on. “How can a match be organized when people are agitating for Samaikyandhra,” he questioned.
