When Telangana was formed, everybody thought the local people would get lot of jobs, including government works. They expected that the TRS government would prefer local talent in its activities.
However, in the last two years, it was proved otherwise. While the locals are still waiting for opportunities, those from Andhra continue to get contracts, real estate projects, lands and industries.
Even in the software sector, Andhra companies are calling shots even now. According to a report in a vernacular website, the Telangana government has entrusted the task of developing its departmental websites to an Andhra company, based in Visakhapatnam, though there are many companies in Hyderabad, which is considered to be a software hub.
For instance, the Telangana government’s commercial courts tracking system has been developed by Frux Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a software development firm headquartered in Vishakhapatnam.
As per publicly available records, this firm is owned by Bala Kishore Bokka and the firm specializes in public sector websites.
The report, quoting allegations of the Opposition parties, said KCR had allocated contracts worth Rs 75,000 crores to AP contractors out of total Rs 80,000 crore contract works related to Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya. So, Telangana is a big farce!
