Andhra Benefited Due To Bifurcation!

IT minister K T Rama Rao ridiculed the remarks made by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on bifurcation of state.

Referring to Naidu's comments that Andhra suffered huge losses due to bifurcation of state, KTR said, "In fact Andhra had benefited tremendously after bifurcation of state. If not for bifurcation, Andhra regions would never had got an IIT, IIM, AIIMS, IIIT, new capital Amaravati etc. There is a lot of development in Andhra region after bifurcation of state, which would not have been possible if it remained as Unitied AP.".

Taking exception to Naidu's comments that severe injustice was meted to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre with bifurcation, KTR said, "Andhra has been receiving huge financial assistance from the Centre for the last 18 months while Telangana got nothing. Where was the question of injustice?"

KTR reiterated that TRS government will never discriminate Seemandhra people residing in Telangana.

"During Telangana agitation, some Seemandhra leaders and media resorted to malicious campaign against TRS saying that if Telangana State is formed, Seemandhra people residing in Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana would be attacked and their properties would be looted. Is there any such incident reported from anywhere during the past 19 months of TRS rule. In fact, Seemandhra people in Telangana now feel more secure than earlier," KTR stated.
