Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has not lost his hope on keeping the state united, though the Centre has been saying that it has gone too far ahead on Telangana and there is no way it can go back on the issue.
Anam told media on Monday that the Telangana Resolution would be defeated in the State Legislative Assembly and that would bring curtains on the state bifurcation process.
He said the Congress MLAs from Seemandhra region would vote against the Telangana Resolution to stop the division of Andhra Pradesh. He hoped that the Congress party would not issue a whip when the Telangana Resolution comes for voting in the House.
Anam also denied of some ministers having differences with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy would remain on post till 2014 and the next elections would be fought under his leadership.
