Janasena may beleived that it is part of the NDA, but the BJP expelled it without prior notice, and re-admitted recently.
On July 17 last year, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan and his associate Nadendla Manohar attended the NDA meeting in Delhi. Notably, Chandrababu Naidu was not invited, despite Telugu Desam's eagerness to join the NDA.
However, BJP high command decided to expel Pawan Kalyan from the NDA for aligning with Telugu Desam without consulting the BJP.
When Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan recently met with Home Minister Amit Shah, he raised this issue, questioning their allegiance. They were asked whether Janasena sided with the BJP or Chandrababu.
Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan attempted to clarify that they both were aligned only to be with BJP, but since they hadn't received any updates following previous meetings, they had made adjustments in seat allocations.
However, Amit Shah expressed his displeasure, advising patience in forging friendships.
Strangely, despite BJP's influence in Odisha, BJD leader and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik did not visit Delhi, instead bringing BJP leaders to him.
Conversely, although BJP lacks strength in AP, leaders from Telugu Desam and Janasena traveled to Delhi and pleaded BJP representatives.
This turn of events has tarnished the reputation of Telugu people.
