BJP national president and Modi’s close aide and strategist Amit Shah was on a whirlwind tour of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
But what surprised many is the fact that he did not take time out to meet Pawan Kalyan who many believe has been instrumental in getting the TDP-BJP alliance to power in Andhra Pradesh.
So many in political circles are putting across many theories as why Amit Shah did not meet the Jana Sena founder who could become a future ally for the Saffron Party.
Incidentally, Pawan is the man who was nominated as the Swachch Bharat ‘face’ for Telugu speaking states.
It is now being felt that Shah should have met Pawan Kalyan at least as a courtesy call.
Also, Pawan hasn’t done anything to show that he has alienated himself from BJP.
In fact, he has attended the Sankranthi celebrations held by Venkaiah Naidu’s daughter at Swarna Bharathi Trust premises in Nellore. The vast property is under the trusteeship of Venkaiah’s family.
Well, wonder what Amit Shah’s tactic was behind ignoring Pawan Kalyan?
